Small Steps Lead to Big Changes

Have you ever felt like you weren’t quite who you wanted to be? That your life wasn’t quite what you envisioned for yourself? That you had dreams but weren’t quite sure how to make them come true?

Would you believe me if I told you that the path to creating a life you love is not dependent on huge actions, but is paved with the tiniest of choices that take you through the smallest of changes?

What if you took one small action toward your goal? What if you did one tiny thing to inch closer to who you want to be? What if you just figured out the very next step you could take… and then took it?

My favorite poet, Rudy Francisco, put this into perfect perspective in his poem, WHAT IS PROGRESS. I’m sharing it with you in the hopes that it brings you a dollop of inspiration or a drop of motivation to take that tiny next step.

WHAT IS PROGRESS

There is a gap

between who I am

and who I want to be,

but every day

I watch it become

a little smaller.
