about Sophia
Hi, I’m Sophia Fitts, AMFT (she/her)
I’m passionate about helping HSPs and other people who are navigating anxiety (including social anxiety, panic, or agoraphobia), major life transitions, family and relational conflict, and those adjusting to a new disability diagnosis and the complexities of living with a chronic condition or disability.
About Me
I understand how exhausting it can be to show up in spaces where you have to explain or justify your needs. As a client, you don’t want a therapist who minimizes your pain or rushes your process. You are in search of someone who will see you, hear you, and help you feel genuinely supported. That’s exactly what I aim to provide. My practice is grounded in deep empathy and real-world understanding. You don’t have to shrink yourself here, mask your symptoms, or pretend things are “fine” when they’re not. My goal is to create a healing space where we can both show up authentically to work towards goals that work for you.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I use a trauma-informed lens and integrate psychodynamic, person-centered, and trauma-informed therapy to help you explore the why behind your patterns, reconnect with your inner voice, and move toward meaningful, lasting change—not just surface-level relief.
I’ve always been drawn to the process of helping people better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and move toward healing. I know how powerful it is to have someone truly listen without judgment and walk alongside you through your therapeutic journey. It is an honor and a privilege to offer that same space of clarity, support, and growth to others.
“you don’t have to “pretend” in therapy….
i’m here to see you for who you truly are.”

My favorite thing about being a therapist
It is an honor and a privilege to bear witness to the quiet but powerful moments when something begins to shift in clients. It might be when a client feels truly seen for the first time, gains a new insight, or starts to believe that change is possible. There is something incredibly powerful about sitting with someone in their most vulnerable moments and helping them reconnect with their strength, clarity, and sense of self. Therapy is not always easy, but it is real—and being part of that process is what I find most meaningful.
